Define an outcome before opening an app
Long online sessions do not always produce progress. Write one question and the result you want: a note, document, or decision. For example, learn about simple tables for twenty minutes, then create one. Close unrelated tabs. Save sources with a note explaining their usefulness so bookmarks do not become a pile you never read.
Separate searching from doing
Once you have enough guidance, practice. Opening another tutorial does not demonstrate that you can apply the steps. Compare your output with the instructions and note what remains unclear. Search for answers to those specific questions. This keeps learning focused without requiring every course or mastery of every application.
An application-session example
Divide the session into reading requirements, tailoring your profile, and checking the document. Separate job searching from entertainment scrolling. Use focus mode while allowing necessary communication. Finish by noting the result and next step. If nothing is completed, shrink the next goal instead of extending online time indefinitely. Measure progress by finished work rather than open tabs.
