Recognizing Fake Vacancies and Recruitment Scams

An official appearance is not enough

Recruitment scams can imitate logos, interviews, and forms from real companies. Examine the relationship between sender identity, proposed duties, and requests. Watch for vague descriptions, exceptional pay without explanation, and pressure to respond immediately. A real company name can be used by an outsider; a large group membership is not evidence either.

Do not pay to unlock work

Scrutinize administration fees, equipment purchases through a particular seller, or deposits to withdraw earnings. An on-screen balance does not prove funds can be received. Find the vacancy on the official site and contact the organization independently. Do not transfer money just because a sender describes the process as urgent or confidential.

An example and what to do

A message offers typing work but asks for an OTP for verification. That code is not needed to assess typing skills. Stop the conversation, avoid attachments, and preserve the sender address and message. If you shared money or data, contact the relevant account or payment provider officially. Do not accept recovery help from the same sender or share additional codes.
